Bread And Buttered
Background:
My name is Dominic Mabaso and I am a 19 year old from JHB.
Growing up I ate 4 slices of bread but my grandmother would always give me 6 slices to school, whenever I asked her why (because we never had enough ourselves) she always replied “there is a child at your school that will not have lunch today, eat with him”, this would always puzzle me till the point where I realized that there were a lot of kids that never had much.
As I grew older I kept on seeing

My daughter always had a nack of wanting to play with "toys" that didnt belong to her & is in the mimecry stage. We bought her a laptop & now we both have fun, sometimes with not the greatest ease however as she tends to get bored with hers & wants to work with mine!

I have made a wrong choices in life in the name of trying prove to my parents that I can do it. I bought a car I couldn't afford in the name of trying to should my parents that I'm also worthy of their recognition and praises. I got the recognition but the past four years have been a nightmare to me, to me it feels like I'm walking a long tunnel which has no light in it. I'm driving a car I cannot even maintain nor service.

With education I will have it all
Growing up we all have dreams and hopes. I was raised by my teenage mom and she did a great job, she sacrificed all that she can so I get the best education. She believed that with education I will be able to go far. She gave me up for adoption so I was raised by her sister (my aunt) and her husband it was hard because at my age I did not understand why she did that but she kept on saying finish school then you can move in with me.

It happened on the 27th April 2010; a public holiday in South Africa called Freedom Day. I was offered a sponsorship to study at Lincoln University in Missouri Jefferson City, just like that without all the procedures associated with applying for academic sponsorship! My Sponsor said “it’s Freedom Day Twice for me.” In the words of your institution “When you dream … Dream big” I guess that I dreamt big or is it divine intervention? Whichever one it is, I have been divinely favored. I

I provide an all round bin cleaning service to the community, I provide convenience and hygiene. This initiative started late 2009.
The whole purpose was to try to put together money to further my studies. I did not imagine that I would end up changing lives in this a way, today I have 3 employees and helping them put food on the table for their families gives me great pleasure, now I look at life and my previous plans in a different way.
